Lack of Posting
I'm sorry there's been a lack of posting. I've been writing other things, and just haven't had time for profundity or time to write about it.
So, I'm gonna ask a question. You can either answer here, or on your own blog if you want. Please list in the comments if you answer it on your blog, so I can either subscribe or just read it.
The Question: When you experience gnosis, how do you experience it?
And a follow up: Are there actions or thoughts that will trigger this experience for you?
And third: Can you trigger it deliberately?

I can appreciate that. I tell you though, man, if you post a little something no matter how profound each day, you change a lot more people's lives when you do get filled with a message they should read.
I have a post in process that sort of answers your question, but it's one of those things that take a while. It's about this quote from the Divine Pymander:
24. To this Man-Shepherd said: When the material body is to be dissolved, first thou surrenderest the body by itself unto the work of change, and thus the form thou hadst doth vanish, and thou surrenderest thy way of life, void of its energy, unto the Daimon. The body's senses next pass back into their sources, becoming separate, and resurrect as energies; and passion and desire withdraw unto that nature which is void of reason.
25. And thus it is that man doth speed his way thereafter upwards through the Harmony.
To the first zone he gives the Energy of Growth and Waning; unto the second [zone], Device of Evils [now] de-energized; unto the third, the Guile of the Desires de-energized; unto the fourth, his Domineering Arrogance, [also] de-energized; unto the fifth, unholy Daring and the Rashness of Audacity, de-energized; unto the sixth, Striving for Wealth by evil means, deprived of its aggrandizement; and to the seventh zone, Ensnaring Falsehood, de-energized.
26. And then, with all the energisings of the harmony stript from him, clothed in his proper Power, he cometh to that Nature which belongs unto the Eighth, and there with those-that-are hymneth the Father.
They who are there welcome his coming there with joy; and he, made like to them that sojourn there, doth further hear the Powers who are above the Nature that belongs unto the Eighth, singing their songs of praise to God in language of their own.
And then they, in a band, go to the Father home; of their own selves they make surrender of themselves to Powers, and [thus] becoming Powers they are in God. This the good end for those who have gained Gnosis - to be made one with God.

i should do this each night but it has been difficult to remain focused lately and you know why that is. in any case, i engage in this sort of contemplation-meditation thing in which i sit in the darkness while gazing into a flame. the flame itself is yellow and without smoke - using a solution of rubbing alcohol and salt - and in the center i keep this piece of marble i have which came from the floor of the mary magdalene cathedral in paris. as i watch the flame die i am just overcome with this intense and heavy weight deep within my chest, like something pulling me down but forcing my ribcage (heart?) open at the same time.
it is often right around that point when the weight becomes too much to bear that i start to cry and all that. not sure if this is gnosis on account if it being a 'felt thing' rather than any kind of 'knowing thing' but it inspires me to continue pursuing gnosis all the same, affirming as it does my relationship with the divine.
although once, and just once, there was this moment when some ants, myself, and a tree all became 'one thing' and in that moment i experienced the most profound wisdom i have ever known yet. i dunno. it comes in flashes, once every few years, but remains in my heart for a lifetime.
Concerning gnosis, I have had two dreams which were intensely filled with a joining with the Master Architect. In one, I was Judas. The feeling I had by the physical proximity to Jesus was profound, sublime, and altogether indescribable. In the other dream/gnosis, I had been murdered, my soul left my body and left the earth's atmosphere. Once in space, the gnosis was so overwhelming that I said aloud, "Why did I wait so long?" before immediatley returning to my body. The absence of gnosis at that point was like annihilation. Never, before or since, have I experienced gnosis to that degree. As to deliberate fusion with the Master Architect, there are times when I'm fasting that I have brief glimpses of gnosis.
