Princess of Cups

Sunday, I set up my prayer room for the Abremelin working. I've got a couple things to help guide my prayers and meditations: A bible open to psalms, and the Thoth deck. I'm sure I'll add more to the altar as I progress, and as I read the preparations for these next six months.

This is the first card I drew. Princess of Cups. I'm reminded of creature comforts, and how the material world can soothe our emotions. I don't have an anecdote for this yet, like Witchdoctor Joe, but I'm sure I'll get better as I progress.

I'm EXTREMELY happy for you! I get arm-hairs-at-attention thinking about what you're doing and how it's going to affect you and all you come into contact with. Beautiful!

IHVH bless you, and keep you;
IHVH make His face shine on you, And be gracious to you;
IHVH lift up His countenance on you, And give you peace.'
I've been meaning to do it for like 12 months, but it always seemed like it wasn't a good time.

Now, I'm coming to realize there may be no good time, and it's just gonna have to happen.

Thus, my Motto: Take action, no deed undone. Frater Tandu.
@Rufus Opus, thank you for your good wishes and continued good prayers and support. Here's hoping I can follow through. I start stuff all the time.

Heh, this is the kind of thing (in my experience) that ends up generating major amounts of spiritual excrement flying around one's sphere of influence. For those who have not been born of the Spirit. Assuming you've had a gnostic experience or two, it will not be that harsh for you to deal with, I'm guessing. And I truly doubt it will take as long as it seems like it would. In a way, you're meeting a slice of Sophia, in another way you're meeting your Agathos Daimon, and in yet another way you're getting a familiar spirit that will aid you in accomplishing miraculous wonders and signs in service to God. I'm thinking it will suck you in and demonstrate to you the most important aspects of your life, and ...

Anyway. You're ready. If you haven't yet, find a copy of the Dehn translation. It will aid in understanding what you're going through as you go through it. And pay attention to the smells of the temple while you are praying.
I have the Dehn translation. I got it as a gift, even, I think it was from my Ex-wife, but i'm not 100% any more. I'm terrible about stuff like that. have to check my journal.
